AmoraKey Terms of Service

1. Introduction and acceptance

Welcome to AmoraKey. These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Atomlight Limited, a company registered in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (“Hong Kong”) (“Atomlight,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), governing your access to and use of the AmoraKey mobile applications, keyboard extensions, websites, artificial intelligence features, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

By downloading, installing, accessing, purchasing, or using the Services, or by selecting an option indicating acceptance, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not access or use the Services.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to use AmoraKey. If applicable law requires a higher age for the Services or for processing your personal data, that higher age applies.

Apple users also acknowledge that use of the iOS application is subject to Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement to the extent applicable. If these Terms conflict with mandatory app-store terms, the mandatory app-store terms control for that platform.

2. What AmoraKey provides

AmoraKey is an AI-assisted communication tool designed to help users understand conversations and draft messages. Depending on your device, region, plan, and the current version of the Services, AmoraKey may provide:

• Quick Reply: three context-aware message suggestions in distinct styles;
• Conversation Analysis: summaries and observations about tone, possible emotions, possible needs, communication patterns, relationship signals, and possible next steps;
• Conversation Openers: suggested ways to begin or restart a conversation;
• Screenshot processing: optical character recognition (“OCR”) to convert a submitted conversation screenshot into text for AI processing;
• Keyboard access: access to certain AmoraKey features from a supported third-party keyboard extension; and
• Conversation history: storage and retrieval of eligible analysis sessions associated with your account.

Features may differ between iOS and Android and may change over time. Certain features require internet access, permission to access selected photos, or “Full Access” for the iOS keyboard. The AmoraKey keyboard is designed to upload content only when you actively submit or select it for an AI action; it is not intended to silently read everything you type.

3. AI-generated content and important limitations

AmoraKey uses automated systems, including third-party AI and OCR services. AI-generated suggestions and analyses (“AI Output”) may be inaccurate, incomplete, inappropriate, outdated, or based on an incorrect interpretation of the conversation. AI Output may not reflect what another person actually thinks, feels, wants, or intends.

AmoraKey is not a therapist, psychologist, attorney, doctor, crisis service, or other licensed professional. The Services do not provide medical, mental-health, legal, safety, or other professional advice. Do not rely on AI Output to diagnose a person, determine consent, assess immediate danger, or make high-impact personal decisions.

You are responsible for reviewing AI Output before using it and for deciding whether, when, and how to communicate. Never treat a suggested message as proof of another person’s feelings or agreement. Respect clear refusals, silence, personal boundaries, and consent.

If you or another person may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or an appropriate qualified professional. AmoraKey is not designed or monitored for emergency communications.

4. Accounts, guest access, and security

You may be able to use limited features as a guest. Guest usage allowances may be tied to an anonymous installation or session and may reset if the application is removed or application data is cleared. We may offer a separate promotional allowance when a guest creates or signs in to an account. Promotional allowances have no cash value, are non-transferable, and may be modified or discontinued where permitted by law.

Available sign-in methods may include email, Google, and, on iOS, Apple ID. You must provide accurate information, keep your device and account credentials secure, and promptly notify us if you suspect unauthorized access. You may not sell, transfer, rent, or share an account in a way that circumvents usage limits or compromises account security.

You are responsible for activity conducted through your account unless caused by our breach of these Terms or applicable law. We may require reasonable verification before processing sensitive account requests.

5. Subscriptions, billing, and renewal

Some Services require a paid subscription. Prices, billing periods, included benefits, and any trial terms are displayed before purchase. Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, not directly by Atomlight, unless we expressly state otherwise.

Subscriptions automatically renew for the same billing period unless canceled through the applicable app-store account settings before the renewal deadline shown by that store. Deleting AmoraKey or your AmoraKey account does not automatically cancel an app-store subscription. You must manage or cancel the subscription through the store where it was purchased.

Subscriptions may apply only on the platform where they were purchased. An iOS purchase may not unlock Android access, and an Android purchase may not unlock iOS access. Restore-purchase availability is subject to the applicable store and a valid purchase record.

Refunds, chargebacks, taxes, price changes, renewal notices, and billing disputes are handled under applicable law and the policies of the store that processed the purchase. We may change future subscription pricing or benefits with any notice required by law or the relevant store, but changes will not retroactively alter a completed billing period.

6. Your content and conversation screenshots

“User Content” means text, screenshots, instructions, feedback, and other material that you submit to the Services. You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant Atomlight a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, transmit, reproduce, process, and format User Content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Services, comply with law, and enforce these Terms.

You represent that you have the right to submit User Content and that doing so does not violate any law, confidentiality obligation, privacy right, intellectual-property right, or other person’s rights. Before uploading a conversation screenshot, consider whether it contains another person’s name, phone number, photograph, health information, intimate content, financial data, or other sensitive information. Crop, redact, or avoid submitting unnecessary information.

You remain responsible for messages you send and for any consequences of sharing or using User Content or AI Output. Do not use AmoraKey to record, intercept, monitor, or disclose private communications unlawfully.

7. Acceptable use

You may use the Services only for lawful, personal purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not use, encourage, or assist others to use AmoraKey to:

• harass, threaten, stalk, shame, blackmail, impersonate, exploit, or deceive another person;
• coerce sexual or romantic activity, override a refusal, manipulate consent, or target another person’s vulnerability;
• generate or facilitate sexual content involving minors, grooming, trafficking, abuse, or exploitation;
• promote violence, self-harm, hatred, unlawful discrimination, fraud, or other illegal conduct;
• upload content you do not have the right to use, including unlawfully obtained private conversations;
• circumvent subscriptions, usage quotas, security controls, rate limits, or platform restrictions;
• introduce malware, interfere with the Services, scrape or harvest data, or access systems without authorization;
• reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Services except where applicable law expressly permits it; or
• use the Services or AI Output to train, benchmark, or develop a competing model or service without our written permission.

We may block a request, restrict access, suspend an account, preserve relevant records, or take other reasonable action if we believe the Services are being misused or if required to protect users, third parties, Atomlight, or the public.

8. Privacy and third-party services

Our handling of personal data is described in the AmoraKey Privacy Policy, which forms part of your relationship with us. The Services may rely on third parties for authentication, cloud infrastructure, AI processing, OCR, analytics, and app-store billing. Their processing may also be governed by their own terms and privacy notices.

AmoraKey may link to third-party services or open system settings, email applications, app stores, or account-management pages. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, or their independent practices.

9. Our intellectual property

The Services—including the AmoraKey name and branding, software, interfaces, designs, text, graphics, audiovisual material, databases, and underlying technology—are owned by Atomlight or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property and other laws.

Subject to these Terms, Atomlight grants you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to install and use the applicable AmoraKey application on devices you own or control for your personal, non-commercial use. No rights are granted except those expressly stated in these Terms.

If you submit ideas or feedback, you grant us permission to use them without restriction or compensation, provided that this does not give us ownership of your separate User Content.

10. Service availability and changes

We may add, change, limit, suspend, or discontinue features to improve the Services, address security or legal requirements, respond to third-party changes, or manage technical and commercial needs. We do not guarantee that every feature will be available on every device, platform, language, or location.

The Services may be interrupted by maintenance, connectivity problems, model-provider outages, app-store restrictions, force majeure events, or other circumstances. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to operate the Services but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.

11. Suspension, termination, and account deletion

You may stop using AmoraKey at any time and request account deletion through the application or our account deletion page. A deletion request enters a seven-day cooling period. During that period you may sign in, continue using valid membership benefits, and explicitly cancel the request. Signing in alone does not cancel deletion.

After deletion is completed, account data cannot be restored and the same email address cannot create a new account for 30 days. A later registration creates a new account and does not restore prior conversations or account data. Deleting AmoraKey does not cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription; store billing may continue until you cancel it with the applicable store.

We may suspend or terminate access if you materially or repeatedly violate these Terms, create legal or security risk, misuse the Services, fail to pay applicable fees, or if we are required to do so by law or a platform provider. Where appropriate and legally required, we will provide notice and an opportunity to appeal.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination—including provisions concerning intellectual property, payment obligations, disclaimers, liability, and disputes—will survive.

12. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Services and AI Output are provided “as is” and “as available.” Atomlight and its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, licensors, and service providers disclaim all express, implied, and statutory warranties, including warranties of merchantability, satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, reliability, availability, and that the Services will be secure or error-free.

We do not warrant that AI Output will be accurate, effective, suitable for your relationship, accepted by another person, or produce any particular personal or romantic outcome. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Atomlight and its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages; loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or opportunities; relationship outcomes; emotional distress; or the conduct of another person arising from or related to the Services, even if advised that such damages were possible.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability arising from or related to the Services or these Terms will not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you paid to Atomlight for the Services during the 12 months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim; or (b) USD $50.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions or liability limitations. In those jurisdictions, these provisions apply only to the maximum extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, willful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot legally be limited.

14. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Atomlight and its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, licensors, and service providers from third-party claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and reasonable legal costs arising from your unlawful User Content, your material breach of these Terms, or your misuse of the Services. This obligation does not apply to the extent a claim results from Atomlight’s own breach, negligence, or unlawful conduct.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services are governed by the laws of Hong Kong, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of any mandatory consumer-protection rights that apply under the laws of your country or region and cannot legally be waived.

Before filing a formal claim, you and Atomlight agree to make a reasonable good-faith effort to resolve the dispute informally by contacting the other party and describing the issue and requested resolution. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, the courts of Hong Kong will have exclusive jurisdiction, except where applicable mandatory law gives you the right to bring a claim in another court.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Services, law, safety practices, or business operations. We will post the updated Terms and revise the effective date. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide additional notice where required. Your continued use after the updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law. If you do not agree to an update, you must stop using the Services.

17. General terms

These Terms, any applicable store terms, and policies expressly incorporated by reference constitute the entire agreement concerning the Services. If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, it will be enforced to the maximum lawful extent and the remaining provisions will remain effective.

Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, sale of assets, or by operation of law, subject to applicable legal requirements.
